During cold forming and the production of fastening elements, fine metal particles, abrasion, and other contaminants are generated. These enter the forming oil and gradually increase the load on the entire process circuit.

Problem

During the forming process, fine metal particles and abrasion continuously enter the forming oil. Without proper treatment, this can lead to:

Solution

A central treatment system with a centrifugal separator was implemented for continuous cleaning of the forming oil. The contaminated oil is taken from the process circuit and fed into the separator.

High centrifugal forces act on the medium, enabling reliable separation of even the finest particles. Centrifugal separators use the physical principle of phase separation in a centrifugal field and can efficiently remove particles in the micrometer range.

The separated solids are discharged as compact sludge, while the cleaned oil is returned to the production process, ensuring consistently high fluid quality.
